A whole lotta of salt lightering was happening in the sixth boro the other day, ironic if you consider the season of usage of the salt and not so ironic if you consider one of the regions “road safety product” originates.

Hong Kong-flagged Columbia River brought its salt likely from the Sahara whereas I’m not sure where Thai-flagged Nalinee Naree traveled from.

Foreshortening did make them seem quite crowded

especially if you throw Norway-flagged Bow Olympus into the mix too.

But given the massive quantities of bulk material moved around here, the sixth boro is much less crowded than the other five boros, which

I know from driving through two of them . . . are so crowded that their roads are sometimes choked.
