Tony A has been out of the boro himself and sent this set along.  Imagine yourself seeing a display vessel like this first at night.  By the way, do you know it?

So you think, I’ll come back in daylight, and this is what you see, as you expect.

Here’s the surprise, though.  You walk around the other side, and see  . . . it has a double–or split– livery.

The vessel above is USCGC Comanche WMEC-202.  More on her here and here.

And an update on Aurora, she’s been raised.  Check that link for a post I did in late May. 

She’s listing but up.  Here’s a very recent photo by Brian Stone, forwarded by George Schneider.  This is a story to be followed.
