George Schneider sent this shot of Bayou Teche in Miami, ie, a long way from Bayou Teche!
Sean McQuilken gets credited for the following: NOAAS Ferdinand R. Hassler,
and Dann Ocean’s Helen and
a “runaway lifeboat” from USNS Yukon.
Maybe someone can identify this mystery tugboat turned yacht. It appears to be registered in Alabama.
Dan Katzive sent along these shots of Foxy 3 and Brian Courtney sailing
schooner Juan Sebastien de Elcano.
Many thanks to George, Sean, and Dan.

The white tug-turned-yacht was an Army 70-foot ST of Design 3004. This particular one was apparently never used, part of our reserve forces in Europe. She was the FORT MOULTRIE (ST 2116), one of three bought by a speculator in England for conversion into yachts. Sources differ, but they gave her the name ABLE ONE or ABLE THREE. She came to the U. S. for completion by another buyer who has now put her up for sale. She doesn’t wear a name, only the state license number AL2546SM. A tour of her by a boat broker can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNqeLDSAQAA
