Some of these photos are from late August 2021, and others are from August 2011, and many of you can tell the difference.
Above that’s Meredith C. Reinauer, and below . . . Tasman Sea.
And this is Teresa with her hot oil barge Acadia.
Following Tasman Sea, that’s Jane A. Bouchard.
And that’s it. All photos, WVD.
The photos with Tasman Sea and Jane A. Bouchard are from a decade ago. The last I knew, Tasman is tied up at a dock in Houma, LA. Jane A. is part of the Bouchard fleet tied up in Staten Island, awaiting sale. Seeing the skyline of lower Manhattan might have been a clue. More on that in posts in the next week or so . . .
Teresa has been one of my unicorns . . . and this is the first time this 1999 tug and barge have appeared on this blog, to the best of my memory. And Meredith C. is, IMHO, a beautiful tugboat.

And the original lower deck of the Bayonne Bridge, perhaps?

Wil, the Teresa / Acadia is now owned by Unico Commodities of Houston, TX. The unit however has retained its names.

HT– I see that now. I also checked and it appears Unico Commodities has purchased three Bouchard tugboats: the Denise, the Morton S., and the Linda Lee. Linda Lee Bouchard, now Bella, I tried to catch her as she headed south a week ago. But she was gone before I got the the shot.

Wil, Unico seems to be a growing company out there…wonder what equipment they will buy next. Kirby is still shedding old Penn Units, one of Teresa’s sister units the Lucia / Caribbean. Lucia (now a widow) was sold to Falgout Brothers of Larose, La renamed to Sally Falgout. And Kirby scrapped the barge Caribbean. Slowly but surely we will see the Bouchard fleet find new homes, did Unico also buy the barges they were married too.
