Enter the Dragon

Wonder if this is the only vessel of any navy to bear dragons on it bow . . .  Do you know which navy this is?  Might this be a 21st century counterpart to figureheads?

It’s the HMS Dragon, D35, and the dragon has not always been there throughout its short seven-year service.
