It’s late afternoon when Bruce A McAllister with Double Skin 40 passes my spot, followed
by Marjorie B McAllister, with B. No. 262 behind.
From the south with a motley set of barges . . . .
it’s Frances. Afternoon light is starting to highlight Mr. Bannerman’s place.
That IS a short wire, a necessity given that Marjorie has no upper wheelhouse.
These low hanging clouds have never left today.

MARJORIE B. McALLISTER does have a retractable pilothouse. Captain’s choice to tow astern.

Thx, tugpower. I stand corrected. In fact, previous posts show the wheelhouse projected upward, like this one: https://tugster.wordpress.com/2009/12/28/marjorie-b/ I need to slow down and doublecheck stuff…

I noticed now in my Golden years, that I sometimes get a Senior moment, and forget something, but I’m thankful that my mind is still as sharp as a tack. My brain goes on overload when I’m dealing with a lot of vessels. I also have to slow down and keep my mind focused on one thing at a time.

Will,
The Marjorie is a sister ship to the Bruce ( and the Brendan Turecamo) and has a house that extends just like her. The Captain is probably an old school guy that knows it’s easier to tow down the rive than push it.
