Anyone can see that it’s a flux capacitor, for industry. (You’d be excused for mistaking it for a warp core.)

Once machined will probably be in a steam fired (coal or nuke) power plant.
My little brother builds them/ rebuilds them. They have a lathe with a bed 90 feet long with a 17 foot swing!!!!!

I’m guessing it’s a high tension component, maybe a connection point for a transmission line, headed for the RG&E substation in Macedon, NY, where the transformers went last year.

If I had to hazard a guess, I would say possibly some kind of “thrust block” component, for the propeller shaft / driveline of a large vessel?
