“Candace . . . has quite the unusual design for a US tug.” With good reason. The tug is based upon the 2609 design of the Dutch shipbuilder BV Scheepswerf Damen, Hardinexveld. It was delivered to Weeks in August 2004 by Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Panama City. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3508 BTAs.
