Here were 2 and 1. What intrigued me in post 1 about Marjorie B. four years ago was its telescoping house.
Some time back I saw the whole vessel lifted up out of the water.

I understand how they got the shafts out through the holes in the rudder, but how did they get the wheels off without dropping the rudders?

It appears that once the wheels were freed, they would swing the rudders and use a web of chain falls to work the wheel out. The rigging got a bit complicated, but timing and coordinated effort got the job done every time.
