Here were 24 and 25 in this series. Follow up to 25 is that ex-fireboat Howard W. Fitzpatrick is now reportedly in transition to diveboat on Lake Huron operating out of Southampton, Ontario.
This week in NYC is referred to as UN Week, and I’m guessing this unusual USCG vessel has something to do with that. Anyone identify what it is?
Another USCG vessel.
48′ R/V Arabella in New Gretna, NJ this past Saturday. Previous Rutgers-mentioning posts are here and here.
And last but not least . . . Albany’s brand spankin’ new fireboat.

The Coast Guard boat in the first photo is a Special Purpose Craft – Boarding Team Delivery (SPC-BTD) from Zodiac. http://www.prlog.org/10695824-us-coastguard-gets-first-of-two-new-zodiac-hurricane-ribs.html

Les is right, but mine is honest opinion and it is no where near as capable as the promos say! two CPO I know one of whom is a Barr Coxswain trained in Portland OR. claims it is prone to swamping and capsize. “They tried to copy the Austral designed RIBs used on HMAS Armidale Class PTB’s, but without the weight of the diesel and jet drives it has no bottom CG. and 0 righting movement.” (CMC, USCG, Purposely left Blank)
