Note: The barge in the link has been reported as RTC-105, but I’ve gotten some notes saying it is not. Sorry I can’t positively say either way.
This isn’t going to end well, but you may remember this post from a bit over a year ago. Mighty Servant 1 came to town and left with some equipment . . . including this barge,
RTC 105,
which went in the center of Mighty Servant.
Other barges were loaded, one on each side, as well as three tugs, and they sailed out the Narrows and over the horizon.
Click here to see its demise captured on video recently. What the audio says is unconfirmed.

a Nigerian report i read calls the barge ST-215 and S 215 (in the same article)….is that a re-name or some I D number? First batch of Reinauer tugs were renamed but never saw anything about the barges.

Will,
It could possibly be the RTC 90 looking at the size of the notch and the layout of the deck

Will, I was told that it was an old Interstate barge- prob not the 105, but I’m just repeating what I was told.

I came up with the old Maritrans M-215 aka Oceans-190… found a few pics of the stern and the bulwark on the stern for the notch matches perfectly with the one in Lagos. http://tugboatinformation.com/tug.cfm?id=441 first pic of Valour pushing.

Although I don’t mean this as the whole picture, here is a little context on the oil activities in Nigeria: http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/13/money-for-the-taking-in-niger-delta-swamps/?ref=global-home
