International trade to the sixth boro via the canal system.  As much identification as we know is on the foto, kindly lent by Rich Taylor.  I know from Rich that it delivered newsprint here from Quebec.  Anyone know the name of the vessel?  years of service in this trade?  actual route?  names of either of the three men on deck?  how newsprint gets delivered to the sixth boro today?

Thanks to Rich Taylor for this scanned foto.  Let me reiterate that a goal I have for this blog is this sort of collaboration;  email me and propose a collaboration.

Remember, coming up on June 19 . . .  the mermaid parade on Coney Island.
