In regards to the stacks on the Sea Raven, they are up that high so the exhaust isnt blowing into the Upper house on the boat. Since they (Capt, Mate) spend probably about 90% of the time up their. A breeze from the stern can make for a long smelly watch. Also a health hazard.

i get that but why don’t all ATB tugs have such high stacks . . . as do farm tractors, semis, etc…
