Another close-up of the mystery tug . . .
Thanks to Harold E. Tartell, who suggests it might be a transformed Miss Yvette (his foto) with “after house” removed and some adjustments of paint . . .
Here’s the entire tow . . .
and sure enough, as some of you suggested, the name of this construction company, Kiewit, appears at the tip of the crane . . .

Can’t be MISS YVETTE as she is now owned by MAT Marine in Bourne, MA. The new owner, Mike Hallam, has repainted her superstructure blue and white.
Great blog!!

Nope……good thought tho. Isn’t there a directory of tugs somewhere that you can check?

My son and I saw Miss Yvette everyday this winter in Falmouth Harbor (MA). My little guy is 100% positive this is not her.

from deckhand trevor on the F. Dawson, Willis Ave. The new willis ave bridge will be done approx. 2 or 3 years, then we will start to dismantle the old bridge and piers. Long time to go. Also because we are on a construction job, we only work monday to friday, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. And FYI, our company Kiewit, will also be involved with the Tappan Zee bridge project. 10 year job and it will cost approx 16 billion dollars, so the mighty Dawson will be in that neck of the woods very soon.
