Zoom zoom . . . this one starts in the Hudson. That’s the George Washington Bridge in the distance. Beast goes fast, gets folks wet, and

 

this one aka Shark starts in the East River, goes fast, gets folks wet. That’s Ellis Island in the hazy background.

 

NY Waterways starts everywhere, ferries around the harbor, goes fast, doesn’t get folks wet. Bartholdi’s Statue witnesses in the background. Notice what floats in the foreground.

 

Today parts of a dock floated all over the bay. Planks, beams, logs, and all of the above with jagged metal protruding upward, ready to damage speedy boats driven by the non-observant. . . . Scary combination. Keep a careful watch.
