Tug Tours

Let me plug some unique history tours of New York harbor on an authentic restored 1930 tugboat called W. O. Decker, owned by South Street Seaport Museum. Each tour leaves Pier 16 on Saturday at 10am and returns at 2 pm. Board 10 minutes before departure at the stern of Peking. Tour capacity is 12 passengers. An experienced educator and Coast Guard-licensed captain guides each tour. The cost for the four-hour tour is $80 for Museum members and $100 for non-members and includes a box lunch and drink. Tours focus on either Brooklyn Waterfront, Newark Bay, Upper New York Bay, or the North aka Hudson River as follows:

Brooklyn Waterfront– June 9, June 30, Aug 4, Aug 18, Sept 22, and Oct 13.

Newark Bay –June 23, July 7, Aug 11, Aug 25, Sept 29, and Oct 20.

Upper New York Bay– July 28 and Oct 6.

North River –Sept 1 and Oct 27.
