You just never know if it’s a first life or not . . . here’s another re-christened vessel now known as Cheyenne. Richard took this fabulous photo of Cheyenne, blowin’ a lot of smoke, at work eastbound in KVK.

I took this showing-off picture of Cheyenne at the Roundup September 2006.

Tug44.org has great fotos of Cheyenne outside and in, interesting engine room shots whence that blue smoke comes there . One interesting feature is the hydraulically variable height wheelhouse. Low bridge=lower it. High barge=raise it.

Today she runs for Port Albany Ventures, but originally she was called Glenwood of Red Star Towing.

42 years ago this pony was built in Brooklyn, along with these other vessels. Oh, and built by the same yard as John B. Caddell.
