I am going out on a limb about the cruiser.. I think she was built by the Franklin Post Yard of Mystic, CT. Similar lines and shape to some of the other boats constructed there. Raised fordeck & tumblehome at the transom. Will, were you able to get a name or registration number?

The Commander dates back to WWI and saw military service protecting the Rockaway Naval Station from German Zeppelins.
