The name was changed to Quality Shipyards in 1980. GULF CAJUN Was Built For The Gulf Mississippi Marine Corp. (Which Was A Division Of Pott Industries). Pott Also Owned St. Louis Shipbuilding, A Large Builder Of Inland River Towboats. They Were Also The Builders Of Two Ill-Fated Sixth Boro Tugs Back In 1968. Tugs MARJORIE & HELEN McALLISTER. Gulf Mississippi Marine Became Gulfleet Marine, Then Zapata Gulf Marine, & Is Now Owned By Tidewater.
