The "Elmer Dean" started her life at a scrap yard North of Detroit. She was bought by an engineer of Gaelic Towing and moved on a deep loader to the site of the Rouge River and Elmer Dean, the new owner worked in his spare time and made some changes to the hull.

He had to stop to take care of his sick wife and soon after she passed on Elmer also passed away.

The boat sat for a number of years in weeds and high grass until bought by the new owner from Algomac, MI. and finished to the way she is today and named in honour of Elmer "Elmer Dean"

Kind Regards,
