He died back in 1982, when the vessel passed to his Son.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for posting - I visited Mystic Seaport!

Cangarda&#039;s captain says she has never crossed an ocean and is not designed to do it.  Shallow draft for the Great Lakes.  If she went across the ocean it would be on the deck of a ship.  She got to the East Coast from CA on a ship instead of thru the Panama Canal so they have done it before.

Amazon is smaller and 125 years old tihis year.  Crossed the ocean last year.

Amazing boats and an amazing place.]]></description>
