Rust . . . it transforms the
bow. It
eats through the
starboard plating. And
it seeps through the metal
at the stern. You know the logic now, so next is
what happens portside on a bulk carrier hauling salt. It
bruises and degrades the metal.
So what are these discolorations on the transom of this wooden boat?
Rust of course.
As major color changes happen this time of year from snow covering outdoor shapes (happening right now outside my window, for the first time this season) coating them with a new uniform whiteness, so rust more subtly transforms surface color but with much more dramatic and destructive metamorphosis from within. UFO therefore expands to unseen forces outward. Or maybe undoing from oxidation. May we not be undone!
Hope you enjoyed this tribute to Andy. All fotos and their modification by Will Van Dorp. Bowsprite would fling buckets of ink and aquarelle, and Pamela would painstakingly apply pigments suspended in some oil. Some inspiration stems from TM and MF. Thanks all.
By the way, does anyone know previous names applied to the current Buchanan 1?

whoa, rust looks pretty harmless when compared to you with that saturation lever, buddy.

call it “running w scissors” if you wish. running amuck with the saturation (and other) levers is a contact, no-holds-barred sport. the warholization of the boro6 has begun. hurl those ink buckets, bowsprite!! scratch those lines. splash in the watercolor. drop in pigments by the clamshell bucket! get more ink on your fingers than is contained in all the octopuses of the seven seas!

Great Photo manipulation. People think Warhol was a great painter but his medium was screenprinting. I have been a screenprinter for over 30 years and never considered to use it in my “ARHHT” (New England pronounciation) The Brush is much freer. Screenprinting has to be much more thought out. Plus I don’t want to bring my work home with me.
Will, Now that I know your Profession I have to be much more careful with my writing.

Love the new stuff. Yup, time to crank up your Elements. I’m using an antique, but without it I would show blah day after day. Yes, too, rust as bacteria on the Titanic……we need to have an antibiotic for ship bacteria.
