I can’t resist . . . but Mary aka QM2 lingered in Red Hook a bit yesterday, conjuring up this 1960s song (great Smothers Brothers show version), these lyrics, and it seemed

and might have drawn closer, but my own attention

by then was directed elsewhere.  More tomorrow.
